Back in January, YIMBY brought you news of a 19-story, 26-unit condominium development at 548 West 22nd Street, in West Chelsea. Now, Curbed has the reveal for the project, which is being designed by Annabelle Selldorf. Property Market Group and Harch Group are expanding upon the existing four-story building, which will remain as the structure’s base.
Lend Lease has purchased a stake at Victor Group’s planned residential development at 281 5th Avenue, in Midtown South, according to Crain’s Business. First brought to you by YIMBY last December, a 51-story, 140-unit mixed-use tower — to span 250,000 square feet and stand 750 feet — is planned for the 30th Street site. Although the size of Lend Lease’s stake is unknown, the project will total $400 million, and ground breaking is expected this year. Multiple existing low-rise structure must first be demolished, and the final design has not yet been revealed.
Brownstoner reports construction is in full swing at 95 South 5th Street, in western Williamsburg, where Horrigan Development has planned a six-story, 23-unit mixed-use building incorporating the façade of the former three-story townhouse. The project was revealed by YIMBY last Fall, and construction is now a few floor ups. Standard Architects is designing.
Since YIMBY revealed Magnum Real Estate Group’s plans for 196 Orchard Street back in February, Real Estate Equities has partnered with Magnum to develop the 10-story, 83-unit mixed-use building. The two developers will soon close on the assemblage for $108 million, reports The Real Deal. Demolition of the existing single-story buildings should follow.
An LLC has filed applications for a five-story, eight-unit mixed-use residential and community-facility building at 132-22 Maple Avenue, in southern Flushing proper. The community space will measure nearly 1,250 square feet, and An Shen Ma is designing. An existing two-story structure must first be removed.
