Last week, YIMBY brought you news that the Landmarks Preservation Commission voted to calendar sections of the interior of the 44-story, 1,413-key Waldorf Astoria New York hotel at 301 Park Avenue, located on an entire Midtown block. Now, as part of a planned mixed-use conversion, property owner Anbang Insurance Group has filed applications to convert large swaths of the tower into residential units.
Construction is nearly finished on 432 Park Avenue, the tallest residential building in the Western hemisphere. Five open-air mechanical floors on the 1,396-foot-tall skyscraper will be lit every day at sunset starting Monday, and we have photos of the display.
Last year, YIMBY gave you the first look at the residential expansion planned for 207 South 3rd Street in Williamsburg. Now we’ve got new renderings of the project, which is under construction at the corner of Roebling Street. The updated images show factory-style windows, glassy balconies with landscaping, and a gray brick facade. However, the boxy, protruding shape and the double-height ground floor remain the same as the original design.
Construction is now underway on the third floor of the seven-story, 16-unit mixed-use building under development at 21-10 44th Drive, in Long Island City’s Court Square section. Last time we checked in, foundation work was underway in October. The latest photo of the structure was posted in an update by The Court Square Blog.
Façade installation is nearly complete on the 12-story, 75-unit mixed-use building under development at 69 East 125th Street, in East Harlem. The latest photo of the project was captured by Harlem+Bespoke. The most recent building permits indicate the project measures 80,619 square feet and rises 120 feet to its roof, not including the bulkhead.
