Construction is rising on 61 Metropolitan Avenue, a seven-story residential building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Francisco Nunez of Studio Gallos and developed by Gabriel Grunblatt under the 61 Metropolitan LLC, the 74-foot-tall structure will span 24,257 square feet and yield 24 rental units with an average scope of 704 square feet, as well as 245 square feet of community facility space, a cellar level, and a 32-foot-long rear yard. G Group Associates is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Kent Avenue to the north and Wythe Avenue to the south.

250 East 21st Street Finishes Construction in Gramercy Park, Manhattan

Construction is complete on 250 East 21st Street, a 13-story residential building in Gramercy Park, Manhattan. Designed by Issac & Stern Architects and developed by Urban Development Partners, the 145-foot-tall structure yields 54 condominium units in one- to four-bedroom layouts with interiors by Paris Forino. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing‘s Eklund Gomes Team is leading sales and marketing for the homes with prices ranging from $1.2 to more than $6 million. Ross Associates was the general contractor for the property, which is located at corner of East 21st Street and Second Avenue.

Elected officials and developers celebrated the completion of Avalon Harrison, a mixed-use affordable housing complex in Harrison, New York. Located adjacent to the Harrison Metro-North train station in Westchester County, the project was led by AvalonBay Communities, which worked closely with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and local officials at every phase of the project.

35 Commercial Street Completes Construction in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Exterior work is complete on 35 Commercial Street, a 22-story affordable housing building in the Greenpoint Landing mega-complex in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Park Tower Group along with Greenpoint Landing Associates, New York City’s Housing Preservation & Development (HPD), and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), the structure will yield 374 permanently affordable apartments and 7,600 square feet of lower-level retail space. Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Commercial and Clay Streets to the south and Bell Slip to the west.

Housing Lottery Launches for The Eliza at 4790 Broadway in Inwood, Manhattan

The affordable housing lottery has launched for The Eliza, a 14-story mixed-use building at 4790 Broadway in Inwood, Manhattan. Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by the Community League of the Heights in a joint venture with Children’s Village, Ranger Properties, Alembic Community Development, and Housing Workshop, the structure yields 174 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 138 units for residents at 30 to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $16,183 to $105,060.

88 East 127th Street is Close to Wrapping Up in East Harlem, Manhattan

Construction is nearing the finish line on 88 East 127th Street, a 19-story residential building in East Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by GF55 Architects and developed and built by Artimus Construction, the 214-foot-tall structure will span 174,951 square feet and yield 160 rental units, with 40 reserved for affordable housing, as well as 15,657 square feet of commercial space. The project stands on a formerly vacant plot bound by Park Avenue, and East 126th and East 127th Streets.

107 North 1st Street Nears Completion in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Construction is nearing completion on 107 North 1st Street, a five-story commercial building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Melamed Architects and developed by 107 North First Street Realty, LLC, the structure will yield 18,000 square feet of office space above ground-floor retail frontage. Vintage Home, Inc. is the general contractor for the property, which sits on an interior lot between Berry Street and Wythe Avenue.

Permits Filed for 1320 Inwood Avenue in Mount Eden, The Bronx

Located between West 170th Street and Clarke Place West, the lot is near the 170th Street subway station, serviced by the 4 train. Ralph Fasano of the Concern for Independent Living is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Ray Harlem Rises At 2033 Fifth Avenue in East Harlem, Manhattan

Construction is in full swing for Ray Harlem at 2033 Fifth Avenue in the Special Arts District in East Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Handel Architects and Frida Escobedo, and developed by Ray and LMXD, the ground-up 21-story, 240-foot-tall mixed-use project will yield 222 rental units in the main tower ranging from studios to two-bedrooms, a portion of which are designated towards affordable housing, while the National Black Theatre (NBT) is expected to occupy 25,000 square feet of space on the ground floor, cellar level and floors three through five and feature a 250-seat flexible temple space and a 99-seat studio theater, classrooms, and offices. Little Wing Lee is the interior designer, Charcoalblue, Marvel Architects, and Studio & Projects are overseeing the theater aspect and Chatsworth Builders is listed at the general contractor for the property, which is located along Fifth Avenue between East 125th and East 126th Streets.
