Demolition Makes Headway for Major New Hotel at 450 11th Avenue, Hudson Yards

With new construction permits filed last summer and demolition filings nearly a year ago, the site of 450 Eleventh Avenue is beginning to see some change. The existing low-rise buildings on the location are nearly gone as the lot gets cleared to make way for the upcoming ground-up 43-story hotel. Located across from the Jacob K. Javits Center between West 36th street and West 37th Street, the 487-foot tall building will be designed by DSM Design Group and developed by Marx Development Groups.

The Hudson Companies Reveals New Renderings of 350 Clarkson Avenue, in Prospect Lefferts Gardens

In a recent reveal, The Hudson Companies released updated renderings of a new, mixed-use residential project on the rise at 350 Clarkson Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture, the building’s 227,000 square feet will comprise 250 market-rate rentals, office space, ground floor retail, and a potential community facility.

Permits Filed for Mixed-Use Building at 1665 Stillwell Avenue in Gravesend, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use development at 1665 Stillwell Avenue, in Gravesend, Brooklyn. Located between Kings Highway and 23rd Avenue, the interior site is less than a mile from L&B Spumoni Gardens, a favorite neighborhood haunt. The Kings Highway subway station is five blocks east, serviced by the N and W trains. Sai Truong is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Permits have been filed for a three-story mixed-use building at 21-01 21st Street in Astoria, Queens. Located between 21st Avenue and 21st Road, the corner development site is three blocks east of the Ralph Demarco Park along the East River. The closest transit access is the Ditmas Boulevard Station in the neighborhood, serviced by the W train. D.A. Development Group is behind the applications.

Major New Mixed-Use Development Revealed at 46-15 Kissena Boulevard in Flushing, Queens

The Kimco Realty Corporation has filed proposals to construct a new eight-story, mixed-use building in Flushing, Queens. Designed by S9 Architecture, the development would be marketed as The Kissena Center and would contain rental apartments, a community facility, commercial retail, and a parking structure.

New Renderings Revealed for EVE NYC As Leasing Readies for Launch, at 433 East 13th Street in the East Village

EVE NYC, a new residential development in Manhattan’s East Village at 433 East 13th Street and 432 East 14th Street, is now in the final phases of construction. YIMBY has the exclusive look at a new set of renderings for the project, which is expected to begin leasing this month.

Permits Filed for 120 Lexington Avenue in Kips Bay, Manhattan

Back in November, YIMBY reported on demolition permits for three adjacent four-story buildings at the corner of 120-124 Lexington Avenue, in Kips Bay, Manhattan. New construction permits have now been filed for a 10-story mixed-use building at 120 Lexington Avenue. The site, between 28th and 29th streets, is located one block east of the 28th Street subway station, serviced by the 6 train. Four blocks away is Madison Square Park. Daniel Dabakaroff of Skyland Management is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Robert A.M. Stern Architects’ New Morningside Heights Skyscraper Revealed at 100 Claremont Avenue

The Union Theological Seminary is working to sell air rights to Lendlease and L+M Development Partners to create a 42-story tower in Morningside Heights. Robert A. M. Stern Architects is designing the new mixed-use building, which will stand 466 feet to its pinnacle, easily making it the tallest in the neighborhood. The project is part of a $125 million rehabilitation initiative which will also include much needed renovations to the Seminary’s 119-year old campus.

Permits Filed for 50 Commercial Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 50 Commercial Street, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The site is located between Clay and Box Streets, in the northern end of the neighborhood. Nearby transportation includes the LIRR at Long Island City, the ferry at India Street, and the G train at Greenpoint Avenue, all of which are within a half mile’s walk. Nicholas Manetta, founder of Rimani Realty, LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Located between East 183rd Street and Crescent Avenue, the interior site is five blocks west of the Bronx Zoo. Less than a mile north is the Fordham train stop on the MetroNorth, and the 182nd-183rd Streets Station is less than one mile to the west, serviced by the B and D trains. Golan Darvish of Belmont Ave 2321 Corporation is listed as the owner behind the applications.
