Joel Berkowitz’s Bluestone Capital has filed applications for a six-story, 13-unit residential building at 447 Meeker Avenue, under the BQE in northern Williamsburg. The building will span 8,260 square feet, which translates into rental-sized units averaging 635 square feet apiece. BMG Design Build is the applicant of record, and the existing three-story, three-unit townhouse must first be demolished.

Four-Story, Seven-Unit Building Planned At 1241 42nd Street, Borough Park

Mayer Meisels has once again filed applications for another residential project in Borough Park, this time at 1241 42nd Street, in the northern part of the neighborhood a few blocks east of the Fort Hamilton Parkway subway stop. Plans call for a four-story, seven-unit building measuring 8,815 square feet; units work out to measure an average 1,260 square feet, indicative of condominiums. Kenneth Thomas is the applicant of record, and an existing two-story house must first be demolished.


655 Quincy Street

Nine-Unit Rental Building Planned At 655 Quincy Street, Bedford-Stuyvesant

Mayer Meisels has filed applications for a four-story, nine-unit residential building at 655 Quincy Street, in central Bedford-Stuyvesant, 10 small blocks south of the Myrtle Avenue stop on the J, M and Z lines. The building will measure 6,000 square feet, which translates units averaging 667 square feet each. Barry Goldsmith is the applicant of record, and the lot is currently vacant.


321 East 3rd Street

Six-Story Residential Building Tops Out At 321 East 3rd Street, East Village

Venetian Management’s six-story, 30-unit residential building underway at 321 East 3rd Street, in the East Village, has topped out, according to EV Grieve. Cladding has yet to be installed, but the structure appears to in preparation for façade. The building will measure 23,000 square feet, which means units will average 767 square feet each, and Gerald Caliendo is designing. Completion is likely by the end of 2015.
