Earlier this year, YIMBY reported on applications for a four-story, 16-unit residential building at 198-200 Clifton Place, in western Bedford-Stuyvesant. But now it appears the site has been acquired by a new owner, Williamsburg-based Elite Realty & Management, who has also filed new applications to construct two separate multi-family buildings. Each building will stand four stories tall and have eight units, and each unit will average 676 square feet. In one building, the two top-floor units will also feature a fifth-floor penthouse. Boaz Golani’s Bronx-based BMG Design Build is the architect of record.
Kai Management, doing business as a Brooklyn-based LLC, has filed applications for a three-story, 15-unit residential building at 205 Beach 29th Street, in Far Rockaway, five blocks south of the Beach 25th Street stop on the A train. The building will measure 11,833 square feet in total, which translates into an average unit size of 789 square feet. Back in July, YIMBY provided you a construction update on 15 Hudson Yards, Related Companies’ 70-story, 960,000 square-foot mixed-use tower planned at Hudson Yards, in Midtown West. Foundation work is now well underway, and rebar as well as the first steel columns can been seen protruding from concrete. The building will include 365 residential units, which will be a mix of rentals and condominiums. The Culture Shed will extend horizontally east from the tower’s base. Diller Scofidio + Renfro and the Rockwell Group are designing, and completion is slated for 2018.
Earlier this year, YIMBY revealed new renderings of World Wide Group’s and Rose Associates’ 65-story residential tower underway at 252 East 57th Street, in Midtown East, and now the tower has topped-out. The building will include 268 units, split between 93 condominiums and 175 apartments, and amenities include a porte cochére, a 34th-floor terrace and a 75-foot-long pool and spa. Retail will be included on the ground and second floors. SOM is the design architect, while SLCE Architects is serving as architect of record. Occupancy is expected in late 2016.
Urban View Realty has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 1257 Jefferson Avenue, in southern Bushwick, five blocks from the Halsey Street stop on the J train. The building will measure 8,400 square feet in total, which means units will average 1,050 square feet apiece. The two units on the fourth floor will also have access to a private roof terrace. Nataliya Donskoy’s Brooklyn-based ND Architecture & Design is the applicant of record. An existing two-story townhouse must be demolished prior to construction.
