Facade Works Passes Halfway Point For The Classically-Inspired Vandewater, at 543 West 122nd Street in Morningside Heights

Today, YIMBY has new photographs of the rising facade for Vandewater, in Morningside Heights. The building is located at 543 West 122nd Street, and is now the tallest structure in the immediate vicinity. The ground-up reinforced concrete tower already topped out at 33 stories, and now stands 385 feet above its Upper Manhattan surrounds. The residential condominium project was designed by INC Architecture & Design, and SLCE Architects is serving as the executive architect. Savanna is the developer, and Halstead Property Development Marketing is in charge of handling sales for the 183 condominiums.

Brooklyn’s 475 Clermont Cleared for Occupancy, in Fort Greene

Developer RXR Realty and construction partner BCG recently celebrated their first temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO) at 475 Clermont, a 12-story development in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. The 363-unit, 400,000-square-foot structure contains a mix of residential homes and retail space. The TCO comes one month ahead of schedule and will allow occupancy to occur two months earlier than originally planned. Aufgang Architects is behind the design for the mixed-use rental building, which will contain 73 units for affordable housing and below-market rates.
