115 East 55th Street Completes Construction in Midtown East, Manhattan

Construction is complete on 115 East 55th Street, an 18-story residential building in Midtown East. Designed by SLCE Architects for Zeckendorf Development, the 185-foot-tall structure yields 71,961 square feet and 58 units. CM & Associates Construction Management served as the general contractor for the Midtown property, which is located on a relatively small plot between Lexington and Park Avenues, directly to the east of Norman Foster‘s 425 Park Avenue.

Related Unveils First Rendering of 450 Washington Street in Tribeca, Manhattan

The first rendering of 450 Washington Street has been released by developer Related Companies along with a teaser website. Located in Tribeca, the new condominium development is a full renovation of a former rental building, complete with new interior walls, layouts, façade, and windows. Designed by Roger Ferris + Partners, the full-block construction will bring 176 residences to the Hudson River waterfront. Hollander Design is handling landscape architecture. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is exclusively handling marketing and sales at 450 Washington, with residences priced from approximately $1 to $10 million.

Exterior Work Wraps on NYU’s Expansion at 181 Mercer Street in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Construction is nearing completion on 181 Mercer Street, NYU‘s expansion in Greenwich Village. Designed by Davis Brody Bond and KieranTimberlake, the three-tower structure will yield 735,000 square feet and is expected to achieve LEED gold certification. Turner Construction Company is the general contractor for the property, which occupies a full block between Houston, Mercer, and Bleecker Streets and I.M. Pei’s University Village complex. The project is the culmination of more than a decade of planning and underwent numerous design changes before ground broke in 2018.
