40-Story, 554-Unit Residential Tower Rising At 2 North 6th Place, Williamsburg

Near the end of 2013, Brownstoner reported on applications for Douglaston Development’s 40-story, 554-unit residential tower at 2 North 6th Place, on Williamsburg’s northern stretch of East River waterfront, and now photos by Tectonic show the building under construction. It appears to be 11 stories above street level. Based on a rendering from J&A Concrete, the base is close to being structurally complete. A small 678 square-foot retail unit is planned on the ground floor and units will average 925 square feet apiece. Stephen B. Jacobs Group is designing and completion is expected in 2017.


101-22 99th Street

Twin Three-Story, Four-Unit Residential Buildings Coming To 101-22 99th Street, Ozone Park

Mario Faulisi, head of an anonymous LLC, has filed applications for two identical three-story residential buildings as 101-22 – 101-24 99th Street, in Ozone Park, located four blocks from the A train’s stop at Rockaway Boulevard. Each will measure 2,937 square feet and contain four residential units, which means units will average a rental-sized 734 square feet apiece. Benedetto Davi’s Astoria-based Davi Architecture is the applicant of record.


65-27 Roosevelt Avenue

Seven-Story, 10-Unit Mixed-Use Building Filed At 65-27 Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside

Property owner Shahida Khan has filed applications for a seven-story, 10-unit mixed-use building at 65-27 Roosevelt Avenue, in Woodside, a stone’s throw away from the 7 train’s stop at 69th Street. The development will measure a total 10,833 square feet, and will include 1,715 square feet of ground-floor retail and 1,512 square feet of community facility on the second floor. Residential units above will average 761 square feet apiece, indicative of rentals. Flushing-based Ling Li is the architect of record, and a dilapidated two-story building must first be demolished.


19 Malta Street

Four-Story, Six-Unit Residential Building Planned At 19 Malta Street, East New York

Aviram Chen, doing business as an anonymous LLC, has filed applications for a four-story, six-unit residential building at 19 Malta Street, in East New York’s western neighborhood of New Lots. Located five blocks from the L train’s stop at New Lots Avenue, the structure will measure 4,222 square feet, which means units will average a rental-sized 704 square feet apiece. An existing garage structure will have to be demolished, but the lot is otherwise empty. Queens-based Gerald Caliendo is the architect of record.


27-21 27th Street

Five-Story, Eight-Unit Residential Building Planned At 27-21 27th Street, Astoria

Property owner Alan Richer, doing business as an anonymous LLC, has filed applications for a five-story, eight-unit residential building at 27-21 27th Street, in Astoria, three blocks from the 30th Avenue stop on the N and Q trains. It will measure 5,726 square feet, which means units will average a rental-sized 716 square feet apiece. Some will be duplexes, according to the Schedule A. Astoria-based Christopher Papa is the architect of record, and an existing two-story townhouse must first be demolished.
