Plans were filed yesterday to build a seven-story, 38-unit apartment building at 1930 Bedford Avenue between Fenimore and Hawthorne Streets in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.
Last fall, Chinese developer Cheerland Investments paid a whopping $129 million for the United Charities office building at 287 Park Avenue South, a nine-story Renaissance Revival structure built in 1892. An insider told the Wall Street Journal that it would be converted to condos, and earlier this week, permits were filed for a residential conversion that would add nine stories to the top.
Applications have been filed for a three-story, three-unit residential building measuring nearly 5,300 square feet at 1448 57th Street, in southern Borough Park. Horia E. Iuonas is the architect of record, and an existing two-story structure must first be removed.
An LLC has filed applications for a six-story, 11-unit residential building measuring 8,014 square feet at 323 East 53rd Street, in Midtown East. Technically the project would be an expansion of the existing four-story townhouse, but the new structure would have a total floor area greater than 100% of the existing building. Vail Associates is designing.
Bedstuy Management LLC has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building measuring 5,417 square feet at 61 Schaefer Street, in souther Buschwick. ARC Architecture & Design Studio is designing, and the structure will include a fifth-floor penthouse level. An dilapidated two-story structure must first be demolished.
