The brick façade is rising at 292 Fifth Avenue, a new Midtown mixed-use hotel designed by Gene Kaufman Architect. Located along the border of Koreatown and NoMad, the reinforced concrete structure topped out earlier this year. Sam Chang is the developer of the project.
YIMBY recently went on a hard-hat tour of 5 River Park, aka 347 Henry Street. The reinforced concrete structure stands 15 stories to its roof, atop the Brooklyn neighborhood of Cobble Hill. The building is being designed by Romines Architecture with Fortis Property Group serving as the developer. There will be 25 condominiums ranging from one- to four-bedroom units. D S L V Studio, a Brooklyn-based design and decor company, is in charge of the interior decor and styling while exclusive sales and marketing is being handled by the Eklund Gomes and Maroni teams from Douglas Elliman. The sales gallery is located at 97 Amity Street.
Brooklyn-based Rybak Development has unveiled the first renderings for The 101, a new condominium development at 101 East 2nd Street in the East Village. Designed by Zproekt Architecture, the seven-story building will eventually contain a selection of 23 residences.
New York-based ODA Architecture has revealed another playfully designed residential building, at 310 East 86th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Reminiscent of the firm’s previous commissions, which are characterized by expressive cubic design language, this new development features a series of boxy setbacks and graceful cantilevers that incorporate private outdoor spaces on the upper levels.
Excavation and the insertion of pilings have commenced for a new 26-story, mixed-use structure at 30 Front Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Hill West Architects will be responsible for the design, while Fortis Property Group is the developer of the 360,000-square-foot project that will stand 270 feet tall and come with 74 apartments, averaging 2,400 square feet apiece.
