Gotham Organization’s contentious new development at 130 St. Felix Street in Downtown Brooklyn is now under review by the Department of City Planning as part of the New York’s Uniform Land Use Review Procedure. Known simply as ULURP, the procedure is required for projects that require special review or modifications to existing zoning regulations.
YIMBY went to visit the upper floors of 570 Broome Street and see the skyline views from the completed 25-story residential building in Hudson Square. Designed by Builtd with Skidmore Owings & Merrill handling the lobby and interiors, and developed by Soho Broome Condos LLC, the building yields 54 condominiums that are currently 80 percent sold. The property is bound by Broome Street to the south, Varick Street to the east, Dominick Street to the north, and the entrance lanes to the Holland Tunnel and Hudson Street to the west.
Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 12 Rockwell Place in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Located between Dekalb Avenue and Fulton Street, the through lot is also addressed as 623 Fulton Street. The site is within walking distance of the Dekalb Avenue subway station, serviced by the B, Q, and R trains and the Nevins Street station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains. Rabsky Group under the 625 Fulton A LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 379 Harman Street, a five-story residential building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The 25,477-square-foot development is designed by Chares Mallea and yields 32 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are four units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $65,109 to $167,570.
The last exterior touches are going up on 130 William Street, an 800-foot-tall residential skyscraper in the Financial District. Designed by David Adjaye of Adjaye Associates and developed by Lightstone with Hill West Architects as the architect of record, the 66-story edifice will yield 242 units marketed by Corcoran Sunshine. Prices are expected to range from around $1,300,000 for a one-bedroom apartment to $20,000,000 for a four-bedroom, full-floor penthouse. The building’s main entrance is located on William Street, along with street frontage lining Fulton Street to the north.
