Netherlands-based design firm Studio SENK teamed up with DMOO, a rendering company, to visualize a new residential tower in DUMBO, and YIMBY has a first look at the impressive concept. The glass skyscraper would stand between the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge, with a base rising from within the atrium of the recently-completed Empire Stores, and an upper portion that would finally give DUMBO an iconic presence on the overall Brooklyn skyline.
Rising from a narrow, rectangular-shaped corner lot in Tribeca, the curtain wall for 108 Chambers Street is now revealing itself as work on the project continues to make quick progress. The building is being designed by Woods Bagot Architects, and developed by Greystone Development.
Curtain wall installation has begun on the lower floors of The Vandewater in Morningside Heights. Designed by Incorporated Architecture & Design with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the new project is being developed by Savanna while Halstead Property Development Marketing is handling sales of the 183 condominiums. The 391-foot tall building is located at 543 West 122nd Street, and will span over 300,000 square feet, with 33 floors of new residential space.
Permits have been filed for a 13-story mixed-use building at 752 Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Located between East 65th Street and East 66th Street, the lot is four blocks south of the 68th Street subway station, serviced by the 4 and 6 trains. It is also four blocks north of the Lexington Av-63 Street subway station, serviced by the F, Q, and R trains. SL Green Realty Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications. Last month YIMBY reported on the partnership between Giorgio Armani Corp. and SL Green Realty to create a new flagship boutique as well as a collection of luxury residences on the site.
Construction on 321 Warren Street, aka The Lively, has reached the eighteenth and final floor over downtown Jersey City. As of YIMBY’s last update back in early November, the mixed-use tower had just climbed above the double-height ground floor space, reaching the fifth floor. Three months later, the reinforced concrete structure is almost at its pinnacle. The building is being designed by Fogarty Finger Architecture and developed by LMC. There will be 217,000 square feet of interior space when completed.
