Jersey City’s Harborside 8 Skyscraper Wins Approvals From City Planning Agency

Jersey City’s waterfront is set to give rise to another new skyscraper. City officials have approved Harborside 8, a 68-story, 708-foot-tall residential tower at the southeast corner of Second and Hudson Streets. Developed by Mack Cali and designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects, the building will eventually top out as one of the tallest structures in the state of New Jersey.

Excavation Begins for ODA’s 208 Delancey Street on the Lower East Side

Excavation has begun at 208 Delancey Street, the site of a 119-foot-tall, 11-story residential development on the Lower East Side. Located near the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge between Pitt Street and Ridge Street, the 80,200-square-foot project is designed by ODA Architecture and developed by New Empire Real Estate Development, with Shiming Tam Architect as the architect of record. The building will contain 69 condominium units averaging 854 square feet apiece.

Meridian Capital Group Inks $18.85M Financing for Fordham Landing Development in the Bronx

Developers behind a sprawling mixed-use community in The Bronx recently secured an $18.85 million injection from Meridian Capital Group, one of the largest mortgage brokerage firms in the United States. The funding is specifically allocated to facilitate the construction of a new building at 2475 Exterior Street located along the Harlem River, immediately south of the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.
