10-Story, 107-Unit Residential Project At 460 Washington Street Wraps Up Construction, Tribeca

Nearly a year ago, YIMBY provided a construction update on Related Companies’ 10-story, 107-unit residential building planned at 460 Washington Street, in Tribeca, and now crews are adding the finishing touches to the building, per DNAinfo. Late last year, the building topped-out, and façade installation and interior work have been ongoing since. Units will average roughly 1,300 square feet apiece, and Related will rent 22 apartments (20 percent) at below market rates; the application process has just launched. BKSK Architects is designing, and completion is expected in early 2016.

Developers Plan 55-Story Condo Tower At 200 Amsterdam Avenue, Upper West Side

This past summer, mysterious soil and bedrock tests were conducted at 200 Amsterdam Avenue, between 69th and 70th Streets on the Upper West Side, and now SJP Properties, partnered with Japan-based Mitsui Fudosan, is in contract to purchase the property for nearly $300 million. The site has nearly 400,000 square feet of air rights, and the developers plan to build a 55-story condominium tower, which could reportedly be one of the tallest in the neighborhood. An existing former religious structure must first be demolished.


212 5th Avenue

New Renderings Of 24-Story, 48-Unit Condo Conversion At 212 Fifth Avenue, NoMad

Early last month, the residential conversion of the 24-story commercial building at 212 Fifth Avenue, in NoMad, was underway, and now Curbed has uncovered new exterior and interior renderings of the project. Forty-eight condominiums are being carved out of the existing structure, and the units will be large, with some measuring 1,500 square feet, and larger configurations measuring north of 4,000 square feet. Madison Equities and Thor Equities are developing, while Helpern Architects is designing. Sales have already launched, and completion is expected next spring.

Four-Story, Eight-Unit Residential Building Filed At 869 East 175th Street, Tremont

Property owner Yair Bohadana has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 869 East 175th Street, in Tremont, three blocks from the 174th Street stop on the 2 and 5 trains. The building will measure 7,000 square feet, and units will average 875 square feet. Queens-based Gerald Caliendo is the architect of record, and the lot is currently vacant.
