Exclusive New Rendering Revealed For 77 Charlton in Hudson Square

YIMBY has the exclusive on a new rendering showing the current design for 77 Charlton Street, aka 82 King Street, set to rise in the Hudson Square neighborhood. Comprised of two buildings, the project is being designed by S9 Architecture & Engineering, the architect of record. Toll Brothers City Living is the developer for the new residential complex. 77 Charlton will stand 15 stories, rising 183 feet, and will contain 161 units. In total, the project will encompass just over 200,000 square feet of space.

Permits Filed For Four-Story Residential Building at 718 Bushwick Avenue in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn

A new four-story residential building is coming to 718 Bushwick Avenue, in the Brooklyn neighborhood of East Williamsburg. Permits were filed last week for the ground-up, 46-foot-tall structure, which will contain eight units and be constructed with a masonry system on the 1,874 square foot lot. The building itself will measure just under 5,600 square feet, and is being designed by Robert Bianchini of Arc Architecture + Design Studio.  The developer of the project is James Best of 718 Bushwick Ave, LLC.

Planned Skyscraper at 131-141 East 47th Street Appears Stalled, Likely Another Casualty Of Chinese Capital Outflow Restrictions in Midtown East, Manhattan

YIMBY’s recent reportage on a new wave of failed development sites has yet another likely addition. Renderings for the new look of 131-141 East 47th Street were revealed by YIMBY back in April of 2016, and since then, the site for the 49-story, 122-unit residential tower has been cleared of the previously extant structures. However, over two years post-demolition, work has appeared to come to a grinding halt, with no subsequent progress yet visible. The project is being developed by New Empire Real Estate, with SLCE Architects leading design, with the Chinese crackdown on capital outflows a likely explanation for the apparent pause in construction.

New construction permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 105 Rogers Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The site is two blocks away from the Park Place subway station, serviced by the S train and six blocks away from the Franklin Avenue station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4, and 5 lines. Shahram Mobasser of Bellingham Estates 26 is listed as the owner on the applications, and today YIMBY also has a first look at renderings, with design by Z Architecture.
