The building will measure just 3,111 square feet, boasting average units of 778 square feet. Great Neck-based Frank Petruso is the architect of record, and permits were filed last month to demolish a recessed single-family home.

In the final days of 2014, YIMBY reported on applications for a six-story, six-unit residential building at 253 East 7th Street, in the East Village, and now the existing four-story townhouse is being demolished to make way for the new building. Per EV Grieve, the property was acquired by an LLC in August 2014 for $4.3 million. The residential project will measure 9,652 square feet, which means units will likely be condominiums, averaging 1,609 square feet.
