Taron Walworth LLC has filed for two more four-story, six-unit residential buildings at the vacant lots at 214 and 218 Walworth Street, in northwestern Bedford-Stuyvesant. The same developer filed applications for two similar buildings at Nos. 212 and 222 yesterday, and each building will measure nearly 4,000 square feet. Julien Flander is designing, and former two-story structures were demolished at both 214 and 218 Walworth in 2006.
An LLC has filed applications for a new six-story, 10-unit residential building at 516 Herkimer Street, in south-central Bedford-Stuyvesant near Atlantic Avenue. The building will measure 11,810 square feet, and Platonic Solids Architecture is designing. An existing single-story structure must first be demolished; demolition permits have yet to be filed.
Development in the towns along the Hudson River is slowly starting to pick up, and now YIMBY has a rendering for a new luxury rental project in Hastings-on-Hudson, the Lofts on Saw Mill River.
The eclectic facade design has finally emerged for two four-story buildings going up at 1444-1446 Bedford Avenue in Crown Heights, after a year and a half of construction.
Abraham Strulovitch had originally filed applications in December, during the building code crunch, for a residential project at 3707 Blackstone Avenue, in the more built-up southern portion of Riverdale. Amendments to the plan now call for an eight-story, 68-unit residential building measuring 40,520 square feet, which will span 3707-3719 Blackstone Avenue and 620 West 238th Street. The average unit will fall just short of 600 square feet, likely indicating rentals, and Shahriar Afshari is designing. The site has been rid of its two-story predecessor, which sat dilapidated until its demise in 2014.
