26-Story, 284-Unit Residential Building Nears Completion At 44-41 Purves Street, Long Island City

Construction started  early last year on 44-41 Purves Street, in Long Island City, where the Rabsky Group is developing a 26-story, 284-unit residential building, and the structure’s façade installation is now complete, per The Court Square Blog. The building will measure nearly 210,000 square feet, with units averaging a (typically) rental-sized 740 square feet. Salamon Engineering Group is the architect of record, and the project should open by the end of this year.

Reveal for Five Single-Family Townhouses Planned At 73-79 Bond Street, Boerum Hill

Last summer, YIMBY reported on new building applications for the vacant lots at 73-79 Bond Street, in Boerum Hill, where Adam America Real Estate is planning five single-family townhouses. Now, renderings of the project have been revealed by The New York Times. The townhouses will average 4,100 square feet over six floors, which include two below grade and four above grade levels. Ben Hansen is designing, and completion is expected by the end of 2016.

The building will measure 5,410 square feet, which means units will average a rental-sized 675 square feet. Julien Flander is the applicant of record, and the lot is currently vacant.

Queen’s-based B&H Contracting Group has filed applications for a seven-story, seven-unit residential building spanning the vacant through-block lot at 1701 Anthony Avenue, in Claremont, just below the Cross-Bronx Expressway. The building will measure 8,466 square feet and will boast surprisingly large apartments, averaging 1,210 square feet each. Percy Griffin’s Griffin Architect & Planner is the applicant of record.
