Construction at 150 Rivington Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side has moved along quickly. YIMBY last reported on the site’s progress in January, when the structure was just two stories high. Now, the building has topped-out, at seven stories. Cogswell Lee Development is responsible for the project, which replaces the former Streitz Matzo Factory.
A proposal has been submitted to the city for a re-zoning at 55-63 Summit Street, in Brooklyn’s Columbia Waterfront District, accompanied by the first renderings of what that could ultimately yield. The affected area is currently classified as M1-1, and the proposal would change that to R6B.
Permits have been filed for a three-story residential building at 2653 East 23rd Street, in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. The site is seven blocks away from the Sheepshead Bay Subway Station, serviced by the B and Q trains. Rafael Rahamim of Savion Construction Inc will be responsible for the development.
Demolition permits have been filed for the existing structures at 1297 and 1299 3rd Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, between 74th and 75th Street. The site is three blocks away from the 77th Street subway station, serviced by the 4 and 6 trains, and four blocks away from the 72nd Street subway station, serviced by the Q trains. Continental Ventures is listed as responsible for the demolition.
Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 232 East 18th Street in Prospect Park South, Brooklyn. The site is four blocks away from the Church Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the B and Q trains. The commercial Flatbush Avenue is just four blocks away from the site, providing future tenants with access to a plethora of retail amenities. Anfiri Realty LLC is responsible for the project.
