Phoenix, Arizona-based Alliance Residential Company is proposing a 16-story, 434-unit mixed-use project at 170 East Post Road, located on the corner of Mamaroneck Avenue in downtown White Plains. The latest plans call for roughly 7,500 square feet of ground-floor commercial-retail space, an outdoor café, and a small pedestrian plaza at the street corner, The Journal News reported. The residential units will be rental apartments. There will also be a six-story parking garage to be located centrally on the block with an entrance on Mitchell Place. The project requires site plan approval. Two low-rise commercial buildings must first be demolished.

An anonymous LLC has filed applications for an 18-story, 27-unit mixed-use building at 1639 First Avenue, located between East 85th and 86th streets in the Yorkville section of the Upper East Side. The building will rise 199 feet, DNAinfo reported, and will encompass 50,126 square feet. There will be 1,983 square feet of retail space across the ground and cellar levels, followed by residential units across the second through 18th floors. The apartments should average 1,314 square feet apiece, which suggests that condominiums are probably in the works.
