540 Hudson Street Rises Above Street Level in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Construction on 540 Hudson Street is progressing as the seven-story, 63-foot-tall reinforced concrete superstructure begins to climb above the sidewalk scaffolding. William Gottlieb Real Estate is the developer and Titanium Construction Services is the general contractor of the Greenwich Village property, which is located at the corner of Hudson and Charles Streets. The residential and retail building is rising on what was once a vacant lot and before that a gas station and garage. The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) approved the updated plans last December and BKSK Architects is adopting the original design that was first envisioned by Morris Adjmi Architects. The final result will be a 48,535-square-foot building with 6,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and cellar, and a total of 26 apartments.

Namdar Group Closes on $96M Financing Package to Complete 26 Van Reipen Avenue in Jersey City

Namdar Group, a family-owned developer based in New York City, has closed on a $96 million financing package to complete a new high-rise residential building in Jersey City. The property is located at 26 Van Reipen Avenue and will eventually support a 27-story building with 235 rental apartments and ground-floor retail.

Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Sir Richard Rogers and Graham Stirk of Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and developed by Centurion Real Estate Partners and Urban Muse, the 331-foot-tall reinforced concrete structure spans 95,000 square feet with 30 units. These homes range from one- to five-bedroom condominiums and penthouses with many featuring private outdoor space. No. 33 Park Row stands on a corner plot along Park Row, which served as a historic location for some of New York City’s first skyscrapers such as the New York Tribune Building and the World Building. Consigli Construction Co., Inc. is the general contractor and Compass Development Marketing Group is the exclusive marketing and sales agent for the property, with sales underway.

Work is nearing completion on The Leyton, a 30-story residential tower at 1059 Third Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Manuel Glas Architects and developed Dart Interests and Real Estate Inverlad, the 481-foot-tall, 127,000-square-foot structure will yield 38 residences with sales and marketing led by Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing. Frampton Co. and Champalimaud Design handled interior design for the residences, which include ten full-floor homes and one duplex penthouse. 1059 Third Avenue is located by the intersection of Third Avenue and East 63rd Street.
