YIMBY noted construction beginning in January 2014 at 11 East 31st Street, in Midtown South, where Simone Development Group is developing a mid-rise boutique hotel, with partners KSNY and Geolo Capital. The building is near topping out and has begun to receive its façade, according to A Fine Blog. Dubbed the Tommie Hotel, the tower is now expected to stand 30 stories, accommodating 120 hotel units across 108,120 square feet. Gwathmey Siegel Kaufman Architects is designing, and completion is expected in 2016.

In January, AAD Construction Corp. acquired the two-story, 2,655 square-foot home at 7815 Narrows Avenue in Bay Ridge for $1.68 million, and filed demolition permits. Now a two-story, single-family residence measuring 4,222 square feet is planned for the property, per Brooklyn Daily Eagle, and Deber Consulting is designing. A block to the north, a similar single-family redevelopment is taking place at 35 78th Street.

Dubbed Sun Valley Towers, Alma Realty Corp. is wrapping up construction on their five-story, 72-unit mixed-use building at 14 Brooklyn Avenue, in Nassau County’s Valley Stream. According to LI Herald, Blink Fitness will occupy 15,000 square feet on the ground floor, and renting will begin by September. The building’s former developer also had plans for a second six-story mixed-use building on the same block.
