New Renderings Released for Dual-Skyscraper Development at 495 Eleventh Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan

New renderings have been revealed for 495 Eleventh Avenue, a pair of residential skyscrapers in Midtown, Manhattan. Located between West 39th and 40th Streets directly next to the Jakob K. Javits Center expansion, the two towers will stand 680 feet tall and 57 stories, and 653 feet tall and 56 stories. The site currently functions as a parking lot for the New York Police Department. FXCollaborative and Gwathmey Siegal Kaufman Architects are the designers responsible for the work.

Façade work is wrapping up on 1100 Avenue of the Americas, a 15-story office building at the corner of West 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by MdeAS Architects and developed by Brookfield Properties, the project involves a complete exterior overhaul as well as extensive renovations to the building’s 386,190-square-foot interiors. AECOM Tishman is the general contractor for the project, which is located across from the northern corner of Bryant Park and to the east of COOKFOX‘s One Bryant Park.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 145 West 108th Street, an 11-story community facility building on the Upper West Side, Manhattan. The 191,963-square-foot development was designed by Dattner Architects and developed by the West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, and yields 198 affordable housing units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 79 units for residents at 30 to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $18,480 to $88,800.
