For over a year now, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has been hoping to create a New York City mega-mansion for himself and his family. But he wants to live on the Upper East Side. So, that means working with what’s there. And that means an assemblage, not something from scratch or a large extant structure. Well, on Tuesday, the Landmarks Preservation Commission dealt a blow to his plans for 11-15 East 75th Street, billed as 15 East 75th Street in presentation materials.

Seven-Story Affordable Housing Complex Nears Topping Out at 410 Manhattan Avenue, Williamsburg

The sixth floor is under construction at 410 Manhattan Avenue, an affordable housing complex next to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in northern Williamsburg. Fifty units will take up 43,055 square feet of the seven-story, 52,065-square-foot building. A community room and parking for about 50 cars and 26 bicycles is also included within the scope. Prominent Williamsburg developer Simon Dushinsky of the Rabsky Group is in charge of the project, with HLS Builders Corp attached as the general contractor. Curtis + Ginsberg is the architect of record, and Rodkin Cardinale Consulting are listed as engineers.

243-255 West 34th Street

32-Story, 300-Key Hotel and Retail Complex Filed at 255 West 34th Street, Garment District

In December of 2014, YIMBY revealed Cornell Realty Management’s plans for a 17-story, 180-key hotel at 245-247 West 34th Street, in Midtown’s Garment District. Those plans have since been discarded, as Cornell and Chetrit Group have divided up their 34th Street assemblage into two separate ownerships. Earlier this year, Cornell announced plans to build a four-story retail complex at 257-263 West 34th Street, and now Chetrit has filed applications for a 32-story, 300-key hotel building at 243-255 West 34th Street. The new building will encompass 155,594 square feet, of which 122,426 square feet will be used as commercial space.
