Reveal For 17-Story, 134-Unit Mixed-Use Building At 810 River Avenue, South Bronx

Renderings have surfaced for M. Melnick & Company’s planned 17-story, 134-unit mixed-use building at 810 River Avenue, in the Concourse, a block from the B, D and 4 trains’ stop at 161st Street/Yankee Stadium. Per Curbed, the building will measure 151,250 square feet in total, and will feature 24,560 and 1,680 square feet of retail and community space, respectively, across the first two stories. Apartments will average 933 square feet, and SLCE Architects is designing. Excavation work is currently underway.



Permits Filed: 96-100 Himrod Street, Bushwick

Three early 20th century wood frames on Himrod Street in Bushwick will likely bite the dust for a cluster of new apartment buildings. New building applications were filed yesterday for three four-story developments at 96, 98, and 100 Himrod Street, between Central and Evergreen Avenues.

Excavation Work Imminent At 80 Essex Street, Site of 24-Story, 195-Unit Mixed-Use Building On LES

At the beginning of the year, YIMBY revealed the first few buildings in the Essex Crossing development on the Lower East Side, including the 24-story, 195-unit mixed-use building planned at 115 Delancey Street/80 Essex Street. In the spring, demolition was underway to remove the old Essex Street Market building, and now excavation appears imminent, per Bowery Boogie. Handel Architects is designing, and a Regal movie theater, the Essex Street Market, and an urban farm will occupy the building’s base. Completion is expected in 2018.
