Thanks to a YIMBY reader, we have a first look at what’s rising at 250 Water Street, a five-story residential building in the Vinegar Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. The building will rise on a 70-foot wide lot that’s been empty for over a decade. Global Property Group is responsible for the development.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 976 Woodycrest Avenue in Highbridge, the Bronx. The site is located five blocks away from the 161st Street Yankee Stadium station, serviced by the D trains and the first stop in the Bronx. Kim Tasher of SKF Development is responsible for the development.
Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 140 Remsen Avenue, East Flatbush, Brooklyn. The site comes eight blocks away from the Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains. Mark Rosenberg is listed as responsible for the development.
NoMad has been experiencing an incredible amount of construction over the last few years, especially for new hotels. Today, YIMBY has a look at 1225 Broadway, the future Virgin Hotel, which is being developed by the Lam Group. New images reveal that construction has now reached the tenth floor, surpassing the tower’s base, which will eventually create 100,000 square feet of retail space. The full footprint of the podium remains to be completed.
