Developers have revealed proposals to construct a new five-story mixed-use building at 900 Castle Hill Avenue in the Unionport section of The Bronx. However before construction can proceed, city officials will need to approve zoning amendments to allow for increased residential density and multiple commercial spaces.

The 53,304-square-foot corner building is designed by Zproekt Architects and developed by Michael Lilikakis, and will yield a total 60 units in a mix of studios and one- and two-bedroom units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 18 apartments for residents at 130 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $56,572 to $159,640.
Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 422 Rutland Road in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between New York Avenue and Brooklyn Avenue, the interior lot is four blocks from the Winthrop Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Shia Unsdorfer under the 422 Rutland LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction of the concrete core appears to have topped out at 50 Hudson Yards, a 1,011-foot-tall commercial supertall in Hudson Yards and number eight on our countdown of the tallest buildings in progress in the New York metropolitan area. Designed by Norman Foster of Foster + Partners and developed by Related Companies with Oxford Properties, the 58-story skyscraper will yield 2.9 million square feet of office space, making it the largest building by volume in the first phase of the Hudson Yards master plan.
