Applications have recently been approved by the DOB for a seven-story, 39-unit mixed-use building at 840 Fulton Street, in southern Clinton Hill, and now Brownstoner has the reveal for the Kutnicki Bernstein-designed project. The Daten Group is developing, and the 20,755 square-foot building will include 1,400 square feet of retail on the ground floor. The existing gas station was approved for demolition in May.
The permitting process surrounding high-profile projects is becoming increasingly convoluted, with ‘dummy filings’ now commonly submitted prior to actual new building applications. This is particularly true at 217 West 57th Street, which still doesn’t have any on-site renderings. But luckily some new supporting documents have been filed with the city, revealing what appear to be the actual height numbers for the tower’s parapet and roof, confirming it will become the country’s tallest building.
The team behind Sherwood Equities’ luxury condo development at 500 West 21st Street sent along a time lapse video of the building rising next to the High Line, beginning in March of last year and ending last month.
After developing projects from one end of Harlem to the other, Heritage Real Estate Partners now has another building in the works at 531 West 159th Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue in Washington Heights.
Dominick D’Erasmo, an executive at Pandora Inc., has filed applications for a five-story, three-unit residential building at the vacant lot at 136 Ainslie Street, in eastern Williamsburg. Residences will measure an average 1,170 square feet and will start on the second floor, with the fourth and fifth floors housing a single penthouse unit. Frederick Goldberg is the architect of record.
