Commercial Observer reports that owner Bahram Benaresh plans to convert the currently vacant six-story building at 175 Franklin Street, in Tribeca, into luxury residential units with ground-floor retail space. Industrial and Commercial Bank of China has refinanced a $10.3 million loan for the property, and a construction time has not been disclosed.
LYXZ Property Inc. has filed applications for a three-story, six-unit residential building measuring nearly 5,600 square feet at 12-08 30th Drive, in western Astoria. John C. Chen is designing, and an existing single-story garage structure recently passed pre-demolition inspection.
Back in February of 2014, YIMBY reported on permits for the two residential towers rising next to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, on Amsterdam Avenue and 113th Street (with an official address of 1047 Amsterdam Avenue).
