Back in January, the Daily News posted the first rendering for a new cantilevering project coming to 251 West 14th Street, in West Chelsea. Now, we have an updated look at the building, which is being designed by ODA and developed by B+B Capital.
Early last year, Curbed revealed a glassy rendering for a condo project at 200 South 3rd Street in Williamsburg. Now YIMBY has a rendering for a completely revamped version of the building that will rise between Driggs Avenue and Roebling Street.
As Brooklyn’s rising rents pushed further south, Flatbush saw a flood of filings in the first few months of 2015. There’s been a lull, thanks to uncertainty over the future of the 421-a tax abatement, but development seems to be picking up again in the central Brooklyn neighborhood. Plans were filed yesterday to build a seven-story, 24-unit building at 1084 Rogers Avenue, between Cortelyou and Clarendon Roads and a short walk from the Beverly Road 2/5 stop.
Early last year, YIMBY brought you a construction update on the nearly complete 50-story hotel and residential tower at 20 West 53rd Street, in Midtown. Since then, the 59-unit and 114-key Baccarat Hotel & Residences wrapped up construction, and now 80% of the condominiums have sold, with sales topping $300 million. Condo layouts range from 1,167 square feet up to the 7,381 square-foot penthouse. Starwood Capital and Tribeca Associates are the developers, and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill is the architect.
Early last year, YIMBY reported on the demolition of the 10-story Bancroft building at 3 West 29th Street, in NoMad, and now the New York Post has revealed what HFZ Capital has planned for the development assemblage. A 64-story, 800-foot-tall mixed-use tower is planned on the 30th Street side, where a 12-story commercial building has yet to be demolished at 8-16 West 30th Street. The neighboring Marble Collegiate Church is also in on the project, and will operate offices in the skyscraper’s limestone-clad base. A small plaza is also rendered on the 29th Street side, immediately adjacent to the church. Moshe Safdie is designing, and the project reportedly requires approval from the LPC.
