Two years ago, YIMBY brought you a look at Cycle Cities’ futuristic design for an office building at 77 Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg. Now we’ve got a fresh rendering from the new architects behind the nine-story project, which will join 25 Kent Avenue as one of the first major ground-up office developments in Brooklyn in decades.
Construction appears to be nearly complete now that façade installation has finished on the 53-story, 600-unit mixed-use building under development at 551 Tenth Avenue, located between West 40th and 41st streets in Midtown West. The latest photo was taken by NY Constuction Photography. The most recent building permits have the tower, dubbed 555TEN, measuring 712,416 square feet and standing 610 feet in height.
Construction has reportedly topped off on the pair of 10-story residential buildings under development at 1133 Warburton Avenue, located in the Greystone neighborhood in northwestern Yonkers. There will be 330 luxury rental apartments between the two buildings, dubbed River Tides at Greystone, Westfair reported. The units will range from studios to two-bedrooms, with amenities including a fitness center, outdoor swimming pool and deck. Ginsburg Development Companies is the developer and Warshauer Mellusi Warshauer is the architect. Occupancy is expected in the spring of 2017. Metro-North Railroad’s Greystone station is a stone’s throw away.
Applications for the sixth, and most likely the final, four-story, six-unit residential building have been filed at 21-26 45th Road. The building is one of Brooklyn-based Leny Vays’s six-building, 36-unit residential development planned at 21-20 – 21-28 45th Road and 21-19 46th Avenue, in the Hunters Point section of Long Island City. Plans for the first four were submitted in September and the fifth was filed just last week. As previously reported, Igor Zaslavskiy’s Brooklyn-based Zproekt is the architect of record and the site’s existing single-story warehouses are currently awaiting demolition.
Construction is just getting underway on 685 First Avenue in Midtown East, where a 460-foot-tall residential building will eventually fill a block-long hole in the ground between 39th and 40th streets. Now, we have new renderings for the tower, which is being designed by renowned Modernist architect Richard Meier.
