The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BDNYC) has announced the successful acquisition of $42 million in financing for the renovation of “Building 127.”
A proposal for a two-story addition atop 131-135 Duane Street is under review by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. The site is located between Church Street and West Broadway in Tribeca, with the design being carried out by Jonathan Schloss Architect, a local Tribeca firm.
Permits have been filed for a thirteen-story apartment building at 2047 Ryer Avenue in West Bronx. Located two blocks away from main thoroughfare Grand Concourse, this site is also located between subway stations Tremont Avenue and 182nd-183rd Street, both serviced by the B and D. Responsible for the development is UA Builders Group.
77 Greenwich Street is already at its fourth floor, and now, a new teaser website for the 500-foot, 42-story residential tower has launched, accompanied by fresh renderings. Trinity Place Holdings is developing the ground-up Financial District project, with FXCollaborative serving as the architect. The podium will eventually house a grade school and retail space. Interiors are being designed by Deborah Berke Partners, the same firm who helmed interiors for 432 Park Avenue.
The Streamline Moderne-inspired tower rising at 24-16 Queens Plaza South is not the tallest building in the burgeoning blocks of Long Island City, but it may be one of the most interesting at the moment. While most others resemble the traditional contemporary glass box, the rolling terraces along the western edge of this warehouse expansion give it a unique identity. Woods Bagot Architects are responsible for the design.The 23-story building will yield over 100,000 square feet, creating a total of 117 residencies. Future tenants will have access to a range of amenities, including an open-air rooftop deck, a pool, an exercise center, and co-working spaces. More amenities will be announced upon completion.
