Construction has topped out for the 11-story condominium building at 22-18 Jackson Avenue, in Hunters Point, Queens. The complex will bring 182 new condominiums to the neighborhood, ranging in price from $660,000 to over $2.5 million.
New permits filed at 42-12 77th Street, in Elmhurst, Queens, call for an 8,000 square-foot community facility to replace a three-story, multi-family residence.
Permits have been filed for a three-story residential building at 105 Battery Avenue, in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The site is seven blocks away from the 95th Street subway station, end of the line for the R train. Jonico Construction & Development is behind the applications.
The blocks surrounding Manhattan’s High Line have seen a plethora of developments boasting unique experimental architectural designs. The creativity has been pervasive and consistent. The latest icon to top-off is 40 Tenth Avenue, an expressive office building formerly known as the “Solar Carve” tower. Aurora Capital is responsible for the Meatpacking District development.
Last week saw the groundbreaking ceremony for a 309-unit mixed-use building rising on a 2.7-acre vacant lot at 100 Monitor Street, in Jersey City’s Lafayette neighborhood. The project will include 304 apartments, along with an 8,000 square-foot office for the Jersey City redevelopment agency and a 3,800 square-foot retail space. Ironstate Development Company will be responsible for the development, as well as their joint venture partners Brookfield Property Group and Landmark Developers.
