Construction is rising on the North Brooklyn Community Boathouse, a five-story commercial building at 51 Ash Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Jeffrey Kamen Architect and developed by a non-profit organization formerly known as the North Brooklyn Boat Club, the 60-foot-tall, 18,106-square-foot structure will feature a 9,856-square-foot hotel component with 11 rooms and an 8,250-square-foot community facility. Brooklyn Construction Group is the general contractor for the project, which is located along Ash Street between Newtown Creek and the Pulaski Bridge.

Developers Secure $55M Loan for 159 Boerum Street in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Slate Property Group and Avenue Realty Capital have closed on a $55 million loan to complete a 19-story residential building at 159 Boerum Street in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Aufgang Architects, the 80,000-square-foot structure will yield 120 units, with 19 reserved for affordable housing. Amenities will include a fitness center, a roof deck, a parking garage, and bike storage. The property is located between Graham Avenue and Humboldt Street.

Designed by JWC Architect Engineer and developed by Miriam and Ken Chan of 32 Tower LLC, which purchased the property for $7.15 million in 2006, the 67-foot-tall structure will yield 52 rental apartments spread across 42,500 square feet, as well as 3,500 square feet of commercial space and 850 square feet of community facility space. Titan Realty & Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of India and West Streets.

1024 Manhattan Avenue Rises Above Street Level in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Construction is set to rise on 1024 Manhattan Avenue, a seven-story residential building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Kutnicki Bernstein Architects and developed by Witold Brend under the Marria LLC, the upcoming 75-foot tall development will yield 28,436 square feet, with 24,666 square feet designated for residential space spit across 30 rental units averaging 822 square feet apiece, 3,770 square feet for commercial space, a cellar and a 22-foot-long rear yard. Brend Restoration is the general contractor for the project, which is located on an interior lot between Freeman and Green Streets.

RAAD Studios designed the lobby and Plus Design Studios designed the interiors of the building, which is located at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 14th Street, straddling the intersection of the Meatpacking District and Chelsea.

540 Graham Avenue Nears Topping Out in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Designed by Issac & Stern Architects and developed by Greenline Real Estate, the 59-foot tall, 21,031-square-foot structure will yield 25 rental units spread across 17,934 square feet, as well as 3,096 square feet of ground-floor retail space, a cellar level, a 19-foot-long rear yard, and 13 enclosed parking spaces. New York Certified is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Graham and Engert Avenues.

Phase One of $460M Hunts Point Interstate Improvement Project Now Complete in the South Bronx

Skanska and its joint venture partner ECCO III Enterprises have completed the first phase of a $460 million interstate improvement project in the Hunts Point section of the South Bronx.
