Newly filed construction applications have helped realize Geneva Partners’ development plans for an assemblage of lots spanning 1629-1637 43rd Street, in eastern Borough Park near Kensington. Five three-story buildings will hold 15 units, which will be divided across 19,500 square feet of residential space. Kenneth Thomas is designing, and three dilapidated 2.5-story structures were demolished this past March.
The co-op board comprising 20 units representing the seven-story, 20,000 square-foot building at 159-161 Remsen Street, in Brooklyn Heights, has placed the property on the market for $30 million. Per The Real Deal, the building is being advertised as a development site, and demolishing the existing structure would allow a new 45,000 square foot structure. The building was converted to residential use in 1982.
An LLC has filed applications for a two-story, two-unit residential building measuring 2,060 square feet at 14-11 113th Street, on the western tip of College Point. Gerald Caliendo is designing, and the existing 2.5-story structure passed pre-demolition inspection this past March.
Harlem + Bespoke spotted a rendering on-site at 131 West 122nd Street, in central Harlem, where a four-story townhouse is being expanded and renovated to five stories and 10 residential units. The existing façade will be preserved, and the top floor will feature a penthouse; DJLU Architect is designing.
The property owner, Oren Sauberman, has filed applications for a five-story, four-unit mixed-use building measuring 5,850 square feet at the vacant lot 280 Atlantic Avenue, in Beorum Hill. Rodrigo Torres, of Insight Studio Architecture, is designing, and roughly 1,300 square feet of retail space is included.
