Located at the intersection of 28th Avenue and 32nd Street, the lot is one block south of the Astoria Boulevard subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Bell Realty is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Exterior work is nearing completion at 180 East 88th Street, the tallest structure on the Upper East Side above 72nd Street. DDG is the designer and principal developer of the 31-story residential skyscraper, for which HTO Architects is serving as the architect of record and Global Holdings Management is also developing. Petersen Tegl, a Denmark-based firm, is in charge of putting together the thin Kolumba masonry bricks in the gray-colored façade.
Exterior work is wrapping up on the Moise Safra Cultural Center, a 14-story mixed-use structure at 130 East 82nd Street on the Upper East Side. Designed by PBDW Architects, the building is named after the late Jewish philanthropist Moise Safra and will largely cater to Orthodox Jews of Syrian ancestry.
Proposals under review by the New York City Planning Commission could spur the development of a 2.4-million-square-foot complex near the East New York waterfront in Brooklyn. From developer Innovative Urban Living and architect PAU, the project would include 13 new buildings with varying heights of two to 17 stories.
