Rendering Revealed for Mixed-Use Residential Development at 5055 Broadway in Inwood, Manhattan

A rendering has been revealed for 5055 Broadway, an 11-story residential building in Inwood, Manhattan. Designed by Fischer + Makooi Architects and developed by Timber Equities, the 43,000-square-foot structure will yield 42,000 square feet of residential space and amenities as well as ground-floor retail. The property is located between West 215th and 216th Streets, a short walk from Isham and Inwood Hill Parks. The amenity spaces will include a lounge, a fitness center, a communal roof deck, a bike room, and tenant storage.

Designed by Magnusson Architecture and Planning and developed by partners Housing and Services Inc. and Robert Sanborn Development, the structure yields 108 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 41 units for residents at 40 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $0 to $103,120.

American Natural History Museum’s Expansion Tops Out on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Construction has topped out on The Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation at the American Museum of Natural History, a 230,000-square-foot addition to the institution at 415 Columbus Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang with Tishman Construction Company of New York as the general contractor, the organic-looking, amorphous structure is progressing near the corner of Columbus Avenue and West 79th Street and is surrounded by an abundance of landscaping and tall trees. The project is projected to cost around $383 million and is aiming for LEED Gold certification.

The Gotham Organization and RiseBoro Community Partnership have revealed a collection of new renderings for Gotham Point, a dual-tower residential project located within the Hunters Point South mega-development. The property is positioned on Parcel F and Parcel G of Hunter’s Point South, which is among the largest mixed-use residential developments in Long Island City, Queens.
