Brokelyn spotted the incoming 223 affordable units becoming available at the affordable mixed-use development dubbed Livonia Commons, with buildings at 491 Sheffield, 494 Sheffield, 494 Georgia, and 481 Williams Avenues, in East New York. L+M Dev. Partners and Dunn Dev. Corp. are the developers, and retail space will measure 16,000 square feet. Completion is expected in the beginning of 2016.
AVO Construction has filed applications for a four-story, single-family townhouse measuring 2,630 square feet at 282 North 6th Street, in Williamsburg. The developer also filed applications back in November for a very similar structure on the same plot of land at 65 Havemeyer Street; additional single-family townhouses can be expected. Schneider Associates is designing, and the existing single-story warehouse spanning 276-288 North 6th Street recently passed pre-demolition inspection.
In 2013, it was reported that WeWork was in talks for 500,000 square feet at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. YIMBY has now obtained plans for a new mixed-use structure on the site, which would host both a WeWork/WeLive, with the design coming from S9/Perkins Eastman.
In March, YIMBY revealed the first designs for the redevelopment of Mary Immaculate Hospital in downtown Jamaica, and now we’ve got some better renderings of the huge residential project at 150-13 89th Avenue.
Yet another East Harlem residential project that stalled during the recession has come back from the dead, this time at 2006 Lexington Avenue, on the corner of East 122nd Street.
