Construction is getting close to topping out at One University Plaza, a 34-story mixed-use structure at 61 DeKalb Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by RXR Realty, the 435-foot-tall building is part of Long Island University‘s expansion and will add 370,960 square feet of new space to the campus.
Tishman Speyer has announced an expansion of its proprietary co-working brand, which is set to debut in two new Midtown locations. Known simply as Studio, the spaces will be located within Rockefeller Center at 1230 Avenue of the Americas and 300 Park Avenue.
Full demolition permits have been filed for 4023 and 4037 Broadway, 600 West 170th Street, and 601 West 169th Street in Washington Heights. According to the filing, the four adjacent sites are owned by New York Presbyterian under Royal Charter Properties. The assemblage currently houses three mixed-use buildings with 13 residential units and 11 commercial units and was built in 1950.
Permits have been filed for a five-story community facility building at 808 Cauldwell Avenue in Woodstock, The Bronx. Located between East 158th Street and East 160th Street, the through lot is a short walk east to the Prospect Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Pillar Property under the 808 Cauldwell Avenue JV LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Jeanne Gang’s 620-foot-tall, 57-story residential skyscraper at 11 Hoyt Street is getting closer to completion in Downtown Brooklyn. The installation of the wavy, rippling envelope is practically finished and most of the activity has shifted to the podium. The building is being developed by Tishman Speyer and designed by Studio Gang, with Hill West Architects as the architect of record. Michaelis Boyd Associates is leading the interior design for the 481 residential units, which come with 190 unique layouts.
