The affordable housing lottery has launched for Garden Towers, a new affordable housing building for seniors, located at 1323 Boston Road and 1332 Clinton Avenue in Morrisania, Bronx. Designed by Newman Design Architects and developed by Foxy Management, the seven- and eight-story residential structures yields 150 residences total. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 104 units for residents at 50 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $0 to $63,550.

Permits Filed for 77 Mott Street in Chinatown, Manhattan

Located between Canal Street and Bayard Street, the lot is near the Canal Street subway station, serviced by the J. Z, and 6 trains. Tommie Hui under the 77 Mott LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

228 Berry Street Nears Completion in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Construction is almost finished at 228 Berry Street, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Fischer Rasmussen Whitefield Architect and developed by Berry North LLC, the topped out eight-story, 85-foot-tall structure will yield a total of 35,329 square feet with 50 rental units spread across 34,825 square feet and an additional 504 square feet of ground-floor retail space. There will also be a cellar level containing 25 enclosed parking spaces, and 25 open-air parking spaces. Bluesky Builders is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by North 1st Street to the north, and Grand Street to the south, and Berry Street to the east.

Rockabill Nabs $89M Package to Complete Affordable Housing Development at 671 Tinton Avenue in South Bronx

Rockabill Consulting has closed on an $89 million financial package to facilitate completion of 671 Tinton Avenue, a new affordable housing property in the South Bronx. The development, known as St. Anselm Apartments, is located in the Woodstock neighborhood and will comprise 126 apartments, including 63 supportive housing units.

Excavation Progresses for SOM’s 250 Water Street in South Street Seaport, Manhattan

Excavation is progressing at 250 Water Street, the site of a 25-story mixed-use building in the South Street Seaport district of Lower Manhattan. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation, the 324-foot-tall structure will span 550,000 square feet and yield 399 total units with 100 affordable rental apartments, Class A offices, retail space, and community facility space. Suffolk Construction Company is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Peck Slip to the northeast, Pearl Street to the northwest, Water Street to the southeast, and Beekman Street to the southwest.

North Brooklyn Community Boathouse Stands Topped Out At 51 Ash Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

The North Brooklyn Community Boathouse currently stands topped out at 51 Ash Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Jeffrey Kamen Architect and developed by a non-profit organization formerly known as the North Brooklyn Boat Club, the ground-up 60-foot-tall, five-story, 18,106-square-foot structure will feature a 9,856-square-foot hotel component with 11 rooms and an 8,250-square-foot community facility. Brooklyn Construction Group is the general contractor for the project, which is located on a narrow strip of land along Ash Street between Newtown Creek and the Pulaski Bridge.
