New renderings are out for the proposed three-story mixed-use building at 82 John Street, in DUMBO, Brooklyn. The project has taken a turn for the conservative, stripping the façade of the proposed hot dipped galvanized steel, replacing it with a grey matte-glazed brick. The site is five blocks away from the York Street subway station, serviced by the F trains.
A new design has been revealed for a six-story residential building at 110 West 123rd Street, in Harlem‘s Mount Morris Park Historic District, which is heading to the Landmarks Preservation Commission for review later today. The site is two blocks away from the 125th Street Subway Station on Malcolm X Boulevard, serviced by the 2 and 3 trains. Four blocks further is the Harlem 125th Street Train Station, serviced by Metro-North. Daniel Kimya is the owner, with Big Apple Developers responsible for the project.
Permits have been filed for a two-story structure to be built in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. The new garage compound will be an addition to the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation facilities, and the department is behind the applications.
Brooklyn-based Salvatore Inzerillo has filed applications for a seven-story, 24-unit residential building at 651 Liberty Avenue, in East New York, Brooklyn. Located on a corner lot facing Liberty Avenue and Ashford Street, the proposed new building sits squarely between the Cleveland Street J and Shepherd Avenue C train stations.
Construction on the Lower East Side’s first legitimate skyscraper continues apace. When YIMBY last looked at 252 South Street, i.e. One Manhattan Square, the superstructure had reached its 80th floor, with topping-out officially occurring last September. Now, only a dozen floors of cladding remain before its exterior is complete. Extell Development is responsible for development, with Lendlease responsible for construction.
