The building will measure a total 7,695 square feet, which works out to units averaging 960 square feet. Sion Hourizadeh’s Sion Associates is the applicant of record, and the existing two-story, two-unit townhouse was filed for demolition in July.

Foundation work is currently underway at 1700 Broadway, in Ocean Hill, where a six-story, 79-unit mixed-use building is planned, a block from the J/Z train’s stop at Chauncey Street. According to Brownstoner, the building — being developed by SUS and Alembic Community Development — will be 100% affordable, and will feature 4,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Restoration Hardware is planning to convert the five-story, 25,000 square-foot building at 55 Gansevoort Street, in the Meatpacking District, into a 14-key boutique hotel. According to Crain’s, the ground floor of the building will feature a restaurant. Delshah Capital owns the five-story building, but Restoration Hardware — whose flagship store is located around the corner of 9th Avenue — has leased the entire property.
