Construction Progresses on Marcus Garvey Village at 212 West 124th Street, in Harlem

Construction is underway for Marcus Garvey Village, an 18-story mixed-use development in Manhattan’s Harlem neighborhood. Located at 212 West 124th Street, the 300,000-square-foot building will have 330 units, 3,200 square feet of commercial space, and 7,164 square feet of community facility space. The Harlem-based team behind the project includes developer Carthage Real Estate Advisors and Body Lawson Associates Architects and Planners for the design.

RAMSA’s 1228 Madison Avenue Progresses Quickly on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Exterior work is progressing quickly on 1228 Madison Avenue, a 20-story residential building on the Upper East Side. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and developed by CBSK Ironstate, a partnership of CB DevelopersSK Development, and Ironstate, the property will yield 15 units with interiors by Kelly Behun Studio. The site is located along Madison Avenue between East 88th and 89th Streets, just behind Frank Lloyd Wright’s Guggenheim Museum.

601 West 29th Street Tops Out, Will Bring 200+ Affordable Housing Units to Hudson Yards, Manhattan

This week Douglaston Development announced the topping out of 601 West 29th Street, a mixed-use residential tower that will bring 703 market-rate and 235 affordable housing residences to West Chelsea. The 60-story skyscraper encompasses an entire block on 11th Avenue from West 29th to West 30th Streets on the border of West Chelsea and Hudson Yards. In addition to the 938 rentals, components include over 50,000 square feet of amenity space and 15,000 square feet of retail space. FXCollaborative is responsible for the design of the 695-foot-tall building, with Levine Builders handling construction.
