Permits Filed For Five-Story, 10-Unit Apartment Building At 766 Decatur Street, Bedford-Stuyvesant

Vacant lots along Broadway, on the border between Bushwick and Bedford-Stuyvesant, serve as a reminder of when both neighborhoods were victims of neglect and abandonment. New building applications call for 10 apartments and 5,500 square feet of residential space, for tiny apartments averaging 550 square feet apiece. Each floor would have two apartments, and the top floor would host a pair of duplex penthouses.
