Gary Tarnoff of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP has filed applications to build a new long term care facility, called The Hebrew Home of Riverdale, to be located at 5701-5961 Palisade Avenue in The Bronx, likely on behalf of the institution. The filings to construct a new center to the north of the existing facility show it would contain 137 nonprofit residential units for the elderly, 105 assisted living units, 607 skilled nursing beds, and 386 independent senior living units. The project will also come with 509 new parking spaces, with its entire scope clocking in at 1.4 million square feet.
Construction is making quick headway on a seven-story mixed-use building in Bushwick, Brooklyn, following permit applications filed in September of 2017, as first reported by YIMBY. Located at 1595 Broadway, the structure is being designed by Diego B Aguilera Architects for local developer Bawbeh United, of Williamsburg.
Permits have been filed for a three-story mixed use building at 153-52 76th Road in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens. The only public transit in the neighborhood is buses, and the Jamaica train station, serviced by the LIRR, is two miles away. Hui Chen is listed as behind the applications.

The site is six blocks away form the 46th Street Bliss Street subway station, serviced by the 7 trains. Also nearby is the intersection between the Queens-Midtown Expressway and the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.
Construction of the 29-story hotel at 461 West 34th Street has long been topped-out, and now the façade is fully complete, with interior work also nearing the finish line. Marx Development Group is responsible for the development. Imminently, the 312-foot-tall structure will add 399 hotel rooms to the Hudson Yards neighborhood, under the Courtyard Hotel brand. On the street level, a retail space will help activate the corner location. The spot is soon to be in extreme demand, as it serves the burgeoning Hudson Yards office and housing markets.
