Wai Man Chow, of Workshop Design + Architecture, is designing, and a retail component measures 923 square feet. The existing single-story structure passed pre-demolition inspection in April.
Joseph Aizer is expanding and renovating the existing four-story townhouse at 4 West 126th Street, in central Harlem, to six stories and 6,220 square feet, accommodating seven residential units. Construction is currently on-going, reports Harlem + Bespoke, and David Turner is designing.
An LLC has filed applications for a five-story, 20-unit residential building measuring 14,520 square feet at 44 Stanhope Street, in central Bushwick. DJLU Architects is designing, and an existing two-story abode must first be demolished.
Newly filed construction applications have revived plans filed in 2013 at the vacant parcel spanning 529-543 President Street, in Gowanus, where RJ Hospitality is to construct a five-story, 101-key hotel measuring roughly 31,100 square feet. Raymond Chan is designing, and the site’s former single-story predecessor had been demolished in 2008.
While both 1 and 21 West End Avenue are already under construction, the Riverside South master plan’s “Building 1,” on the corner of West 61st Street and Riverside Boulevard, does not yet have an announced design. YIMBY has now obtained images showing Arquitectonica’s submitted plans, which show two different versions, one of which features a dramatic sloped cantilever outwards towards the West Side Highway.
