Triangle’s Curtain Wall Climbing at 43-12 Hunter Street in Long Island City, Queens

Progress at 43-12 Hunter Street, now referred to as Triangle, has been moving along since the residential building recently topped out over Long Island City. The exterior curtain wall panels are about to reach the main setback near the halfway point of the 18-story reinforced concrete tower. The project is being designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Rockrose Development, which purchased the site for $1 million all the way back in 2006. Slade Architecture is in charge of the interior design.

828 Park Avenue Tops Out in Hoboken, New Jersey

Construction has topped out at 828 Park Avenue, a five-story residential project in Hoboken, New Jersey. Designed by Nastasi Architects and developed by Hudson Place Realty, the property is located between Eighth Street and Ninth Street, near Hoboken High School and Stevens Institute of Technology. The site was once a narrow vacant lot between two existing brownstones. The new building’s design integrates with the adjacent white-colored structure to the north, resulting in a singular edifice that preserves the original facade.

Checking in at the Site of 31 West 57th Street, in Midtown

Recent photos from the site of 31 West 57th Street show the property still bereft of construction activity. The perimeter along West 57th Street has been boarded up and plastered with black-and-white geometric art patterns, but not much has happened since the demolition of the original Rizzoli Bookstore and several other old low-rise buildings. 27-33 West 57th Street is among the most sought-after parcels of land along 57th Street, aka Billionaires’ Row, and it could still sprout a fairly tall skyscraper. The lot sits immediately to the west of the Solow Building and is slated to be developed by the LeFrak Organization.
