Façade work is nearing completion at 305 West 48th Street, a 303-foot-tall hotel in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Gene Kaufman and developed by Bright Management with Rockwell Group as the interior designer, the structure stands 27 stories and will contain 211 hotel rooms. The project site is located at the corner of West 48th Street and Eighth Avenue, conveniently close to the Times Square and the Theater District.
Permits have been filed for an 11-story mixed-use building at 42 Second Avenue in the East Village, Manhattan. Located between East 2nd and East 3rd Streets, the interior lot is two blocks north of the 2nd Avenue subway station, serviced by the F train. Gemini Rosemont under the Second and Second Property LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Permits have been filed for an 11-story mixed-use building at 1978 Valentine Avenue in the Mount Hope section of the West Bronx. Located between East 178th Street and East 180th Street, the through lot is also addressed as 2000 Valentine Avenue. The site is less than a ten-minute walk east of the Tremont Avenue subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Bronx Haven LLC under the Camber Property Group is listed as the owner behind the applications. In January 2020, Camber acquired 2000 Valentine Avenue as part of an eight-building portfolio that contains 1,275 affordable units in the Mitchell-Lama program.
The project team behind Flushing Point Plaza, a rising three-tower complex, has revealed the preliminary renderings of two forthcoming residential towers. The development is located at 131-02 40th Road in Flushing, Queens, and will eventually comprise more than 243,000 square feet of residential area.
Work appears to have stalled on 611 West 56th Street, aka 823 Eleventh Avenue, a 450-foot-tall condominium building in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza with SLCE as the architect of record and developed by Sumaida + Khurana and LENY, the 37-story tower will yield 80 units designed by Gabellini Sheppard Associates.
