Permits have been filed for a three-story residential building at 80 Oak Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The site is two blocks from the East River waterfront, and comes eight blocks away from the Nassau Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the G trains. It’s part a trend of development around the neighborhood waterfront to match demand. Shiraz Sanjana will be responsible for the development.
It was only back in October that YIMBY reported on 53 West 53rd Street’s surpassing its 50th floor. Now, the supertall residential tower designed by Jean Nouvel is just about to top-out, with an estimate that formwork should be complete by early March, as the last concrete is poured above the 1,000-foot mark for the iconic skyscraper.
The redevelopment of the riverside commercial site at 2505 Bruckner Boulevard, Schuylerville, has long been a mystery. Our last reporting on the project was back in 2015, when Extell acquired the 20 acres of land. The property has since passed along to Innovo Property Group and Square Mile Capital Management LLC, who will be building a massive, two-story, 840,000 square feet commercial distribution center. With two different levels of loading and unloading, it will be the first of its kind for the city, allowing for speedier and faster service on site.

The site is ten blocks from the Bedford-Nostrand Avenue Station, serviced by the G train, and fourteen blocks away from the Myrtle Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the J, M, and Z trains. The development would fill a vacant lot that’s been in such a condition for over a decade. Premier Equities will be responsible for the development.
